Great creative work—and great communication design—starts with great thinking.
Before you can actually influence your target audiences, you must do the hard work of thinking about how you would like to influence them. Before any creative work should begin, you must define how you would like to shape their all-important perceptions.
This is where I start every project or engagement.
+ Brand Audit (Where you are)
+ Positioning and/or Naming Recommendations
(How you stand out)
+ Visual and/or Verbal Brand Recommendations
(Where you are going)
+ Web site strategy and planning
I started my career solving communication design problems professionally in 1988, and have never lost my passion for creating great (i.e. effective) design solutions.
Over the years, I've designed everything from logos and print collateral to exhibit displays to online media, but my areas of specialty are logo/identity design and Web design.
+ Visual Identity System design (can include logo design,
redesign, or update and graphic standards development)
+ Web site, mobile app, and UI design
+ Print collateral design
+ Exhibit and/or wayfinding design
